About
A reading platform that puts the writer first.
Bookery is a serialized fiction platform. The idea is straightforward: if readers can always find the next chapter and writers actually earn from it, both sides keep showing up.
Why we exist
For a long time, posting fiction online meant giving a platform your work in exchange for exposure. The platform kept the revenue and the writer hoped the audience would eventually be worth something. We started Bookery because we wanted to build the version where the writer gets paid from day one. Every contract term, royalty rate, and payout date is published openly and snapshotted into the signed agreement so nothing changes after the fact.
What we ship
Every book starts with free chapters so readers can get into the voice before they spend anything. Premium chapters unlock with coins. Readers can tip writers directly with gifts on top of their royalties. Writers choose between an exclusive contract that includes a signing bonus and monthly update bonuses, or a non-exclusive one that keeps distribution rights wider. Every term is in the contract before anyone signs it.
What we believe
Reading is a habit, and habits are fragile. If the next chapter is hard to find, readers drift. If payments are unpredictable, writers burn out. We try to remove friction for both. The platform exists to make it easy to read and reliable to write.
