FAQ

Answers to the questions we get most.

If you don't see what you're looking for, the support email at the bottom of every contract reaches a real human.

Accounts

Do I need an account to read?+

You can browse public chapters without an account. To unlock premium chapters, save your library, or tip a writer, you need a free account.

How do I become a writer?+

Sign up and pick the writer role. Pick your payout currency at signup (USD/EUR/GBP/USDC). Submit a book and your assigned editor reviews it within 24–48 hours.

Can I switch from reader to writer later?+

Not directly. Create a separate writer account. Reader and writer wallets are fully separate, and we keep them that way on purpose.

Reading

How do coins work?+

Coins are the in-app currency for unlocking premium chapters and tipping writers. Buy a pack on the Wallet page; the price shows in your purchase currency.

Can I change my reading currency?+

Yes — open the currency menu in the header. We default to your country at signup, but you can switch USD/EUR/GBP at any time.

Does the reader work offline?+

Not yet. The reader syncs your place across devices, but you need a connection to fetch a chapter the first time.

Writing

What types of contracts exist?+

Exclusive (higher royalty + signing/monthly/completion bonuses) and Non-exclusive (lower royalty, wider distribution rights). Your editor offers one of the two when they approve your book.

Can I edit a chapter after publishing?+

Yes — small edits to typos and clarity stay welcome. Major rewrites should go through your editor so readers who already paid get a heads-up.

When does my book go live?+

The moment you sign the contract. Chapter 1 publishes automatically; the rest publish as you finish them.

Payments

When do writers get paid?+

Royalties accrue per unlock and per gift. Payouts run on the cadence published in your contract — the exact terms are snapshotted into your signed agreement.

What payout rails are supported?+

Bank transfer (USD/EUR/GBP) via Flutterwave, and USDC on-chain (Ethereum, Polygon, Base, or Tron).

Are taxes withheld?+

No — you receive the gross amount. You're responsible for declaring royalties to your local tax authority.

Moderation

How do I report something?+

Every book, chapter, and comment has a Report link. Pick a reason, add a short note, and a moderator picks it up.

What gets a book removed?+

Hate speech, sexual content involving minors, clear copyright violations, and coordinated spam. We lean toward leaving things up. Those four are the lines we hold.
